Coming Full Circle

On the way to this season’s first football practice last night, my son and the boys we drive talked about the new school year beginning in a few weeks. Each boy admitted (sheepishly) to anticipating what’s to come. This is a signal of life coming full circle—a place of expectation where endings and beginnings meet. Our lives have shape, follow patterns—and these shapes and patterns are reflected in the world. They form part of our first lessons.
